Eight years and still going strong, I Am David Sparkle is a pioneer of Singapore's instrumental music scene. Their muses come from landscapes of life, love, beauty, people, experiences and events – transporting listeners to a realm where words are one's imaginations and interpretations. The band was Singapore's sole representative at the South By Southwest Music Festival 2009 in Austin, Texas. IADS also participated in regional festivals like 'Good Vibrations 2007', 'Recharge Revelations 5 Global Gatherings' and 'ZoukOut 2007' as well as opening for Japanese quartet, Mono at the latter's Singapore show. Now the band is composing new material for their sophomore album planned for release in late 2009.
